Bush Crescent permanent closure traffic conditions
| The Department of Transport and Main Roads advises Bush Crescent will permanently close to through traffic from Friday 5 December 2025. The Rockhampton Ring Road alignment passes through Bush Crescent, which requires closure of a through section and replacement with cul-de-sacs (see map). Local businesses will remain accessible from McLaughlin Street for 13-23 Bush Crescent and from Birkbeck Drive for 31 Bush Crescent. Asphalting of the cul-de-sacs will occur over two weekends and will temporarily block access to 23 and 31 Bush Crescent and generate a strong odour. From 3pm Friday 28 November until 6am Monday 1 December 2025 From 3pm Friday 5 December until 6am Monday 8 December 2025 All works are subject to weather and site conditions. What to expect: Changed traffic conditions: Permanent Road closure between 23 and 31 Bush Crescent to through traffic, with reduced speeds and changed signage. Temporary closure: Driveways to 23 and 31 Bush Crescent, while asphalting occurs. Noise, light, dust and vibration: Audible noise, possible dust, localised vibration and strong odours from construction activities and heavy machinery may occur. Reversing alarms and flashing lights are a safety requirement and will be used at all times. Timing: Construction works will be delivered over two weekends – Friday 28 November until 1 December 2025 and Friday 5 December until 8 December 2025. Motorists are reminded to drive carefully through the road works area, be aware of changed traffic conditions and follow the direction of traffic control on site.
