Youth Justice (Circuit Breaker) Amendment Bill 2026
Have your say on proposed changes to Queensland’s youth justice laws.
The Justice, Integrity and Community Safety Committee is inviting submissions on the Youth Justice (Circuit Breaker) Amendment Bill 2026.
The Bill proposes a new Circuit Breaker rehabilitation program for young people charged with, or who have committed, offences. The program would provide a structured rehabilitation option as an alternative to detention, with the aim of improving community safety and reducing youth crime.
The committee is now seeking input from individuals and organisations.
