State Member for Rockhampton, Donna Kirkland MP invites the community to have their say on critical upgrades to the Bruce Highway between Neville Hewitt Bridge and Cambridge Street, Rockhampton.
Residents, business owners, industry and road users are encouraged to provide input to help the Department for Transport and Main roads understand community priorities for this important section of the Bruce Highway.
The project is currently in the planning phase, with community feedback and technical data helping to identify and assess design solutions.
Consultation will be open from Wednesday 10 September at 9am to Tuesday 7 October 2025 at 5pm.
State Member for Rockhampton Donna Kirkland said the project provided a major social and economic investment into Rockhampton.
“I am a strong advocate for ensuring our community is actively engaged and consulted with when it comes to city-shaping infrastructure like this,” Ms Kirkland said.
“We’re calling on community to share their views, whether you are a business owner, resident, road user or pedestrian using the Bruce Highway in Rockhampton. We want to hear from you.”
“Community input is valuable in ensuring future upgrades not only improve road safety and efficiency but also meets the needs of our local communities.”
